Who we are
NewsBazz is an independent digital magazine published in London. We cover eight subjects — technology, business, travel, sport, lifestyle, health, culture and science — and we publish when we have something worth saying rather than to fill a schedule.
The idea behind the magazine is simple. Most people do not need more news; they need better explanations of the news they already half-know. So we write for the reader who has seen the headline and wants the context: what changed, who benefits, what to watch next, and what remains genuinely unknown.
How we work
Every article is written by a named journalist and edited by a section editor before publication. We work from primary sources wherever possible: documents, data, direct interviews and on-the-record conversations. Where we rely on secondary reporting, we say so.
We do not publish content generated solely by machines, and we do not accept payment in exchange for coverage. Sponsored material, on the rare occasions we run it, is labelled clearly at the top of the page and kept out of our editorial feeds.
Editorial standards
Accuracy before speed
We would rather publish later and be right. Corrections are made openly, with a dated note explaining what changed and why.
Named bylines
Our writers stand behind their work. Every story carries a byline, and every byline links to the person who wrote it.
Transparent sourcing
We name our sources where we can, explain anonymised ones where we cannot, and never dress up speculation as reporting.
No hidden interests
Our commercial relationships do not influence what we cover or how we cover it. Editorial decisions are made by editors.
How we are funded
NewsBazz is funded by display advertising, paid newsletter placements and commercial licensing of our archive. Advertising is clearly separated from editorial content, and advertisers have no sight of stories before publication. We do not sell reader data, and we do not run advertorials disguised as news.
Corrections and complaints
If we get something wrong, tell us and we will look at it properly. Write to editor@newsbazz.co.uk with the article link and the specific point you believe is incorrect. We aim to respond within five working days, and substantive corrections are published on the article itself rather than quietly amended.
The team
NewsBazz is written by a small staff and a network of regular contributors. Our editors and writers:
